James Rogers

So long for now buddy, I will miss you, but I will see you again. You where the cousin I spent the most time with, since my family lived with yours while my dad was in Alaska in the early 1950's. I remember playing with you at Grandma's in Mt Gilead, and always getting in trouble with you .... it just always worked out like that it seems. It was great fun. I remember running up to your dad's barber shop in Wadesboro and getting a free coca cola each day, we where "cool" with our cokes. or so we thought. And I remember listening to the men talk at the barber shop. Then, as always, grandpa would say "alright, you boys, get out of here, and go play" ... and we would leave and have fun all over Wadesboro. I remember going and picking up the scraps from the restaurants each evening with your dad and then feeding them to all of grandpa's hunting dogs, it was so much fun, as the dogs always got into fights which excited as as 4-6 year old boys. Your journey is complete, no more Pressing Into the Kingdom, you are there. Praise the Lord Jesus. Jim Rogers cousin, friend, "brother", companion in our younger days.
