Obituary for Richard Haywood Rogers

Richard Haywood  Rogers
Richard Haywood Rogers, age 71, of Canton, GA passed away Thursday, January 13, 2017. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher. Richard served in the Navy, leaving as a petty officer. He spent his career in aviation, and he had a passion for flying. He spent time working as a field service rep for Boeing and worked in engineering support at Lockheed Martin for airplanes such as the F-22 and C-130. He also worked as a flight instructor in at the Superior Flight School in Ball Ground, Georgia.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from the Hopewell Baptist Church with Pastor Norman Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, January 16, 2017, and from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at South Canton Funeral Home.

Son - Joshua Paul Rogers
Daughter - Janice Melissa Duarte
Daughter - Rachel Ann Rogers
Brother - Milton Kenneth Rogers
Sister - Sandra Rogers Martin
Sister - Mary Ella Rogers Hutchinson
Grandchildren - Kyle, Gabriella, Mia

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Flowers are welcomed or donations to Hopewell Baptist Church in his memory
