The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Doug Peffer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

My Daddy

My daddy is the best man I know. He would do anything for anybody. He is a caring, loving , wonderful and an amazing man. When I was little I would eat somethings that my daddy ate, even if I didn't like than. Sardines and fried oysters were a couple. Daddy was a painter for over 40 years. Him and mama have been married for 57 years. Through good times and bad times they stuck together. They had us 5 kids, Doug, Ricky, Me, Jerry and Tamatha. He use to love to sing to us, as he does his grandchildren and great grandchildren now. Daddy will always listen to you and try to help you with any problem you have. He has instilled in me honesty, to help people in need and love forever. Daddy and mama would bicker at each other, and those who know them know that's how they show their love. Daddy always knew how to get mama riled up. But when he needs something mama is always there. I know daddy was in a lot of pain and God took him to heaven and the pain is gone and all of his sickness. I know he will always be right here with us all watching over us. I'm feeling selfish right now because I want him here with us. I love you daddy with all my heart and thank God he chose you to be our daddy. Our family will continue to be strong and stick together forever, like we always have. I love and miss you So much daddy
