Obituary for Everett McCurry Sr.

Everett  McCurry Sr.
Everett McCurry, Sr., age 89, of Canton, GA passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at his residence. Mr. McCurry was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and served his country proudly in the United States Navy during WWII.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, on Sunday, February 28, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Ware, and Rev. Dan Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 05:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Friday, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Saturday, and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Sunday, at South Canton Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by, son-in-law Jerry Nix.

Survivors include:
Wife of 71 years- Lucille McCurry, Canton,
Son- Junior (Debo) McCurry, Canton,
Daughter- Pam Nix, Canton, GA
Grandchildren- Jody & Kim Nix, Hickory Flat; Jason & Shellee Nix, Hickory Flat; Jamie & Steven Cundy, Hickory Flat;
Great grandchildren- Ashleigh Cundy, Bailey Cundy, Jon Russell Nix, Emma Nix, Carter Cundy, Addyson "Birdie" Nix, Katie Nix, Damon Cundy.
Great great grandchild- Reese Steele,
Special care givers: Ruth Porter & Lynn Chester,
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
