Florida Vacation

Dear Mother The first time I met you was on one of the last trips you made to florida. You loved this place, sitting either in your sunroom or the front porch. We fell in love with you and all of your wonderful stories. You began by telling us " When Haynes is not here, I'm the boss". And boss, you did. You made us laugh each time you started to speak, we never knew what would come out of your mouth, you were humorous, witty and sharp as a whip. You welcomed us into your home and quickly stole our hearts. You were surely the mother, I had always wished for !! Shopping at the Goodwill was a favorite and exhausting adventure for us, and spootering around in your Mini Cooper was a true joy. At night when you were tucked in, you would holler for Dennis to come sit by your bed, and you'd talk for hours. He grew to love the night times, just for those precious stories and conversations with you. I remember the day you sat in the sunroom all day , after you applied your daily lipstick and made sure your outfit for the day was company appropriate. You had many guests and visitors. You had me put up the doggie gate to prevent tinker bell from getting out, and one day in my haste to check the cooking food had me sprinting over the gate, only to take a very ungraceful tumble and after you said "are you alright?" You presided to laugh uncontrollably throughout the entire day, and told me you had never seen anyone fall, tuck their legs in and actually roll !! You thought that was the funniest site. We will always cherish the time spent with you and will miss you until we meet again. I'm sure you're giving orders to all the heavenly Angels and have them hopping to get things in order for our arrival. We love and miss you, but look forward to seeing you, young, strong and healthy, running along the streets of gold. R. I. P. We'll see you in Gods time. Love forever.
