Herman Doyle Little, 84, of Canton, Georgia, died March 08, 2018.

The family will greet friends at South Canton Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 13th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and Wednesday, March 14th from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Steven Sheffield will officiate the South Canton Funeral Home Chapel service at 12:30 pm. Interment will take place at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 14th, 2pm with military honors.

Little, the youngest of eight siblings, spent his childhood on a farm in Lathemtown. He served in the Army and is a Korean War veteran. After basic training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina, Little transferred to Fort Benning, Georgia where he specialized in mechanic work. The discipline, attention to detail, work ethic and love of country learned here anchored his life and activities.

While employed at Lockheed Martin, Little also owned a jewelry store in Canton, Georgia where he worked as a skilled watch craftsman committed to quality work and customer satisfaction. Little sold his jewelry store, retired from Lockheed Martin to pursue other passions, to love and support restaurateur Alene Blankenship and his family.

Little loved racing and was a former dirt track driver and stock car owner. He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by, Father-Harvey Little; Mother-Stella Little; Brother-J. D. Little; Brother-Clifton Little; Brother-Gordon Little; Sister-Bertha Padgett; Sister-Marie White; Sister-Myrtle Edwards.
