Condolence: Donnie was a great friend during my 16 years at UFL, and a great resource when I was asked to automate and train the sales force. His sense of humor kept us all smiling despite the usual ups and downs of work life and seemingly incessant conferences, "training games" and the like. Condolence: Donnie went to work with me at National Life three days after graduating from Georgia Tech. I knew that day he was one of the smartest men I had ever met. Then working with him I found him to be a fantastic salesman, great guy and wonderful friend. I shared many, many memorial times with Donnie. I will really miss him. Condolence: Donnie and I grew up together as neighbors, Sunday School classmates at Second Baptist Church, fraternity brothers at Georgia Tech, agents together at National Life, golfing buddies, but most of all "Best Friends". Condolence: I have known Donnie since high school days. I am from Berrien Co. My cousin Jack Connell introduced me to Donnie. I recall his smile, his friendliness and his dependability. If Donnie gave you his word it was done. He came to Tennessee where I live now to play in a golf tournament we have. He easily made many new friends here. From Tn. From Idaho. From Florida. From Texas. All my friends Donnie made his friends. Great guy. Donnie was one of the good guys in high school and remained one of the good guys when we reconnected here in Tennessee. Our thoughts and prayers to Donnie’s family and friends, especially Jack who loved him as a brother. Donnie, one night in the summer when it is hit, I will put on a long sleeve white shirt as you did in this South Ga summer nights, and wear it in memory of you. Godspeed my friend.
