James ( J. W.) Shoemaker, age 71, of Canton, GA passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, on Saturday, December 23, 2017, from the Yellow Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Hyde, and Rev. Johnny McPherson officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, December 21, 2017, and from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday, December 22, 2017, and from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Saturday, December 23, 2017 at South Canton Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his Parents: Jess Willard and Lillie Bell Shoemaker, Sisters - Claudine Blackwell, Inez Wofford, Betty Ann Gibson and Linda Gibson

Survivors include:
Daughter - Sandra (Sandy) Denson, Canton
Sister - Carolyn ( Roger) Beck, Ball Ground
Sister - Martha Pearson, Canton
Grand Daughter - Ashley Denson, Canton
Grand Daughter - Christen (Dustin) Curtis, Canton
Brother-In-Law - Jim Gibson, Ball Ground
Host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family members also survive
