Condolence: Powell Family, I am very sorry for your loss. I would like to share a scripture that I hope brings your family some comfort. " This is what Jehovah says...'As a mother comforts her son, so I will keep comforting you." Isaiah 66:12,13. The Bible assures us that no person is beyond God's help and that no tragedy is to great that our heavenly Father cannot comfort us. God can provide comfort to people facing a wide range of problems and challenges. No matter what trouble you may face in life, there is comfort from Jehovah available to help you through the hard times.

Condolence: I worked with Don for 2 years at Goodyear. Don always had a enthusiasm for life and never met a stranger. He did embody the whole cowboy thing (chewing tobacco included) but was incredibly talented in other areas. Don was very organized and his penmanship of cursive writing could have been used in a Hallmark card. This was a stark contrast to his rugged cowboy persona. We shared a lot of laughs enjoying life stories and jokes. Some personalities are larger than life, Don was one of them. June he was always very proud of you and never a conversation passed without you coming up. It was shocking to hear he had passed but I know his footprint will remain in everyone he touched.

Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this most difficult time. We know you have lost a dear husband, father, grandfather and family member. I was a classmate of Don's during our days at Gordon High. He was always such a nice guy and truly kind to everyone. I am thankful I had the chance to reconnect and chat with him over the last few years. He was the same friendly and kindhearted man I remembered. Heaven has gained a cowboy with a big heart.

Condolence: Don was a really fine man. I'd known him from college when we were in the Pershing Rifles. I've spent some time with him in recent years and I regret not spending more. He will be missed.

Condolence: Our prayers and sympathies are extended to all the Powell family today as you cope with the loss of this man who was a beloved Husband, Father and GrandFather. I've known Don since high school and I knew his parents before that. He was a kind, funny man and he will long be remembered. God will welcome his gentle Cowboy home.
