Obituary for William L. "Bill" Turner Sr.

William  L. "Bill"  Turner Sr.
William L. "Bill" Turner, Sr. age 68 of White, GA passed on Monday June 1, 2015. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He served for upwards of 45 years as a pastor in the Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Turner had a heart for children and drove a bus for Cherokee, Cobb, Glenn, & Hall counties. He also volunteered for many years as an evangelist, counselor, dean, & cook at summer youth camp.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday June 5, 2015 at Sunnyside Church of God, Pastor Lance Turner & Pastor Bo Turner officiating. Mr. Turner will lie-in-state at the church from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the church on Friday. Interment will follow at GA National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.

The family will receive friends on Thursday June 4, 2015 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at South Canton Funeral Home.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years-Janet C. Turner & parents-Garrett & Gertie Turner.

Survivors include: Sons: Bo (Melissa) Turner-Gray, GA & Lance (Lorie) Turner-Canton, GA; Sisters: Joyce Barriger-Clermont, FL, Lee Riester-Columbus, GA, & Wanda Altizer-Clermont, FL; Grandchildren: Blake Turner, Dalton Turner, Garrett Turner, Tyler Turner, & Connor Turner; Several nieces & nephews also survive.
