Obituary for Randall Moody

Randall  Moody
Randall Moody, age 72, of Canton, GA passed away Sunday, March 01, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Moody was a member and deacon of Long Swamp Baptist Church in Pickens County. He loved his community, his friends and his church. He was also a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather, brother and brother-in-law. Mr. Moody owned and operated the Clayton Food Store in the Clayton Community for 43 years. Prior to this he was employed with Canton Textile on the Construction Crew and with Lockheed Martin. He was a member of the National Guard. Randall Moody was devoted to his community and his smiling happy face will be greatly missed by all of those that loved him.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 04, 2015, from the Long Swamp Baptist Church-Pickens County with the Rev. Harold Cantrell, and Rev. Edwin Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Long Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, March 02, 2015, and from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 03, 2015 and from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Hour on Wednesday, March 04, 2015 at South Canton Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by, Mother and Father: Lee and Lura Moody Sister: Martha Smith Brothers: Rev. Jerry Moody and Rev. Leonard Moody

Survivors include:
Wife - Vertie Moody, Canton
Son - Bryan and Kim Moody, Canton
Daughter - Leighann and Karl Kurth, Canton
Brother - Charles and June Moody, Ellijay
Brother - John and Geraldine Moody, Jasper
Sister-in-law - Estelle Moody, Canton
Grandchildren - Weston Moody, Spencer Moody, Kaitlyn Kurth and Ansley Kurth
