Obituary for Edith Hester Cochran (Hester)

Edith Hester Cochran, age 91, of Free Home, GA passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Cochran was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Old Hightower Baptist Church as well as a faithful member of the choir and WMU. She was also a part of the American Legend Auxillary.

Mama's Hands
Mama was a strong woman in many ways.
Her hands were never idle and she took time to pray.
Her hands and heart were devoted to her husband, church, her 5 kids, and family she loved so much.
She farmed and cooked-we can't begin to list all the things she did or all the lives she touched.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM, on Thursday, July 24, 2014, from Hightower Baptist Church with Rev. Gerral Richards, and Rev. Ronnie McCormick officiating. Mrs. Cochran will lie in state from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Hightower Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, July 22, 2014, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, July 23, 2014, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 24, 2014 at South Canton Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by, Parents-Lee & Emma Hester; Sisters-Irene Hester & Effie Cowart; Brothers-Toy Hester & Roy Hester

Survivors include:

Brother - Jack (Jackie) Hester, Cumming
Sister - Ruby Milford, Macedonia
11 Grandchildren
17 Great Grand Children
