Sharon Lee Ellis (Holcomb)
Sharon Lee Ellis of Canton, Georgia, began her heavenly journey on Monday, March 31, 2014 with friends and family all around. Her journey of touching lives and spreading joy began in Chattanooga, Tennessee on April 12, 1971.

Sharon influenced many lives in her time here on earth. Her childhood was filled with singing and acting. Sharon graduated high school in 1989 from Brainerd Baptist in Chattanooga, TN and Shorter College in Rome, GA in 1996 majoring in Church Recreation. Sharon spent time traveling with Jeremiah People while in college.

Sharon was an active member of the Watermarke Church and with many community organizations. At the time of her death, she was teaching preschool for Canton First United Methodist Church.

A loving wife and mother, Sharon is survived by her husband Brad and daughter Hannah Noel. She has a surviving half sister Joan Helen Holcomb McCarver, Hollywood, AL, and half brother Charles Leon Holcomb, Pisgah, AL.

Her parents Charles Leon Holcomb and Marilyn Castleman Holcomb both of Chattanooga, TN, a half brother William Allen Holcomb of Pisgah, AL, and an unborn angel “Sprout” greeted Sharon in heaven.

Those who have known Sharon, knew that she frequently signed her correspondences with the words “Journey Strong.” That is a motto that Sharon lived out her days with, right until the very end.

A celebration service honoring Sharon’s journey here on earth and her new journey in heaven will be held Thursday, April 3, at 11:00 am at North Point Community Church, 4350 North Point Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30022. Burial services will be held Thursday, April 3 at 4:00 pm at Lakewood Memory Gardens East, 4621 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
